Supporting evidence should be provided to showcase how the organisation is driving the future of logistics and trade across our region and beyond.
MARITIME AMBASSADOR AWARD
This award is not open for nominations.
The recipient of this award is selected by our judging panel and is not available for public entry. It recognises an individual who has demonstrated exceptional commitment, leadership, and impact throughout their career in the maritime industry. This prestigious accolade honours a lifetime of dedication, influence, and achievement, celebrating those who have made a lasting contribution to the sector and inspired others through their work.
MARITIME ENABLER AWARD
Open to a business, charity, or organisation of any size, this award will be made to one that plays a critical role in supporting the maritime industry in the North West region.
The recipient of this award will be able to demonstrate making a significant and measurable impact, including, but not limited to, advocating for sustainability, driving awareness, or fostering innovation and efficiencies. This could be demonstrated through the delivery of services, a successful project, marketing campaign, or an ongoing initiative.
Supporting evidence should be provided to show how the organisation has successfully engaged stakeholders and contributed to the region’s maritime growth and success.
NET ZERO CHAMPION AWARD
This category is intended to recognise those businesses/organisations that are leading the transition to net zero. Entries will need to show how the business/organisation has demonstrated clear leadership, measurable progress in driving forward net zero ambitions, as well as their involvement in the wider green and sustainability agenda.
social impact award
This award will be made to a business, maritime charitable organisation, or other enterprise who have delivered positive and measurable social impact, whether this is to the lives or living conditions of individuals, the community or in terms of campaigns, projects and initiatives that are changing perceptions of the maritime industry.
Applicants may base their application on a specific project, or initiative or the overall impact their services have in terms of bringing about positive change.
RISING STAR AWARD
This award will be made to an individual under the age of 30 whose contribution has made a significant, measurable and positive impact on the business in which they are employed.
Nominations should be made by the business on behalf of the employee they would like to put forward. Nominees can be at any stage in their career or training and may be working in any role within the business, including apprentices.
Only one Rising Star nomination can be submitted per organisation. All nominees for this award will require a face-to-face interview on Monday 14th September in Liverpool city centre (venue details TBC).
sME OF THE YEAR
This award will be made to a small or medium sized enterprise (SME) that has demonstrated a clear understanding of its target market, showing strong growth, or future growth potential, and long term sustainability in terms of one or more of the following:
- Job creation
- Increased turnover
- Increased profitability
- Impact specifically to the Liverpool City Region or wider North West
MERSEY MARITIME INDUSTRY HONOURS
The Mersey Maritime Industry Honours recognise exceptional individuals whose leadership is shaping the future of maritime across three core pillars: innovation, decarbonisation and people.
These honours sit alongside the Mersey Maritime Industry Awards but are awarded to individuals only and are judged solely by an independent panel. There is no public vote and filming is not required.
Recognising an individual who is driving forward innovation through new thinking, technologies, or improved ways of working across the sector.
Recognising an individual who is delivering measurable impact in sustainability, emissions reduction, and the transition to net zero.
Recognising an individual who is developing talent, improving organisational culture, strengthening teams, and championing people development across the industry.
