Brooktherm Refrigeration Ltd

Brooktherm Refrigeration Ltd is a leading Refrigeration and Air Conditioning company, based in the North West of England, working across both the whole of the UK and Worldwide.

We specialise in Industrial Refrigeration, Marine Refrigeration and Air Conditioning providing a full scope of services from design, supply and installation to bespoke maintenance, service and supply of spares.

Our family owned and run company was founded in 2000 and has consistently grown year on year; to date we employ over 65 people and have an annual turnover exceeding £10m.

Right from the beginning and continuing to this day our main principles of customer service and quality ensure that we are a client focused, innovative organisation, continually striving to achieve excellence in all areas of the business.

Our success and in particular our enviable reputation for exceptional customer service can be credited to the most important part of the business; our workforce. Here at Brooktherm we have assembled a talented team of people, who we continually invest in, and are justly proud of the extraordinarily high level of staff retention. This commitment and company stability enable us to provide the continuity and relationships our clients value.

Here at Brooktherm Refrigeration we view the client relationship very much as a partnership, understanding your business needs, identifying your exact requirements and exceeding your expectations in order to establish ourselves as a trusted partner.

Our commitment to delivering direct 24/7 support means we do not use call out centres. We deal personally with call outs and any out of hours query receives the attention of a director or manager with knowledge of the system in question. Whenever you liaise with someone from Brooktherm Refrigeration, no matter what the circumstances, you’re dealing with a member of our team.

In simple terms, we’re there for you.

Our commitment to quality is underlined by our BS EN ISO 9001:2015 accreditation; but it’s about much more than that. It’s about an ethos which runs through Brooktherm Refrigeration from themanagement team down. At every level you’ll find people committed to delivering excellence. It’s in the Brooktherm DNA, but we never take it for granted. That’s why we have systems in place to monitor and maintain the end-client experience.

That same ethos is apparent in our approach to health and safety and the environment, again underlined by our BS OHSAS 18001:2007 and BS EN ISO 14001:2015 accreditations.

Our safety record speaks for itself and is testament to the care we take to protect our workers and anyone else impacted by our activities. We never accept the status quo, and are constantly evaluating and adjusting our policies in order to ensure the highest possible standards.

Our commitment to preserving the wider environment is reflected in our promise to minimise energy usage, cut pollution and reduce waste. We work up to and beyond the legislative levels currently imposed, and have a framework in place to maintain and then improve upon current practices.

Brooktherm is actively involved in the following market sectors:

I come out of Mersey Maritime’s meetings with a bit of a buzz. Lots of people with the same energy and we can see what’s ahead and we want to be ready for it, be a part of it.

As a founding member, Hill Dickinson is proud to support Mersey Maritime. Mersey Maritime creates and facilitates business opportunities for both its members and the wider maritime and business communities through regular networking events, lobbying and industry awards while addressing the skills gap in the maritime sector by integrating local academic resources with businesses to ensure focused training and development. Mersey Maritime has achieved so much since its inception in 2003 and continues to strive with members to ensure Merseyside’s place as the leading maritime hub.
Colin Lavelle, Legal Director, Hill Dickinson LLP
Mersey Maritime has brought the community together tremendously well.
Colin Kershaw, Brookes Bell
Mersey Maritime is unique, there’s nothing else like it!
Phil James, Weightmans LLP
Royal HaskoningDHV is a global engineering and project design consultancy with 6500 staff working in 150 companies, but we’ve been something of a sleeping giant in Liverpool. We’re proud to be sponsors of Mersey Maritime. It enables us to be fully engaged in the cluster, with a place at the table and positioned as first choice company for new business opportunities within our areas of expertise.
Jamie Gray, Associate Director, Royal HaskoningDHV
Mersey Maritime is doing so much for the community and its succession planning for business is vitally important. It’s great to see Liverpool coming back as a global player – all power to your elbow!
Simon Reynish, Chairman, CILT North West
Back in 2008, the average age profile of the workforce at Cammell Laird was 47; so we recognised the need to address a potential skills gap up ahead. As a result of close collaboration with Mersey Maritime we‘ve committed to a long-term training programme that has seen our apprentice numbers rise from zero to more than 100. It’s put us in a much stronger position. We’re in better shape to plan for growth, we’re fulfilling a commitment to provide jobs for young people in this region and we’re revitalising the way we run our business.
John Syvret, CEO, Cammell Laird Group
Mersey Maritime provides excellent networking opportunities, allowing people to meet people, and they do exceptionally well on training and skills. My only criticism is that companies want more!
James Douglas, ContainerPort
As a fledgling business with big aspirations for success, joining Mersey Maritime has been absolutely the right move for us. It’s meant we haven’t had to start from scratch, knocking on doors and trying to get access to the right people. Through Mersey Maritime, we’ve attended business events like Face-2-Face and have already been able to meet everyone who’s anyone in this region. It’s the best investment we have made this year!
John Bean, Managing Director, Geo Data Systems
