In this session Ben Murray, CEO at Maritime UK will be discussing round two of the Clean Maritime Demonstration Competition (CMDC) and also give members a general MUK update on current projects/campaigns.
The CMDC is research and development funding for feasibility studies and technology trials in clean maritime technologies to accelerate maritime decarbonisation in the UK.
2022 will see a major expansion of the CMDC on the back of R&D funding commitments in last year’s Budget (a share of £300m for transport) to really accelerate the pace of the maritime industry’s drive towards net zero.
This event is being held at the Manufacturing Technology Centre offices in Liverpool City Centre and is delivered in partnership with PCiH (Port City Innovation Hub).
What is the Port City Innovation Hub (PCiH)
PCiH is a collective of project partners from different areas of expertise looking to support SMEs in the Liverpool City Region to develop innovative products/ services/ processes that benefit the Maritime Sector. PCIH is funded by the European Regional Development Fund and the Liverpool City Region Strategic Investment Fund.
