We are delighted to announce that our February Face-2-Face will be hosted by the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCR CA) at their offices in Mann Island.
The LCR CA is led by Mayor Steve Rotheram and brings together the region’s six local authorities – Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral.
As part of the event we will hear from Tim Games, Executive Director – Investment and Delivery, who will provide an update on current projects, priorities and opportunities being championed and led by the Combined Authority, supported by Simon Reid Assistant Director of Business Growth.
The event will also see the formal launch of the Mersey Maritime ‘Navigating Maritime Innovation in the LCR’ project. This follows the announcement in December 2024 of Department for Transport Maritime Cluster Development Fund (MCDF) support for coastal communities around the UK, of which Mersey Maritime will deliver a focussed project to foster and maximise maritime innovation in the region.
This event will be an excellent opportunity for members to hear all of the latest news from the LCR CA and understand specifically how they can get involved with the MCDF project, which will be a key focus for Mersey Maritime in 2025.
