Last November the Prime Minister announced the government’s Ten Point Plan for a Green Industrial Revolution (link). The plan sets out activity and investment from government to support the transition to net zero and includes a specific funding commitment as follows: Greener maritime: £20 million for a competition to develop clean maritime technology, such as feasibility studies on key sites.
Mersey Maritime members have the opportunity to receive a full briefing from the Department for Transport and Maritime UK on the ‘Clean Maritime Demonstration Competition’ that will help deliver this opportunity. An industry engagement event will take place on Wednesday 27th January 2021 9am to 10am.
The webinar session will cover the aims and objectives of the competition; competition timescales and consider ‘what does a good bid look like.’
