We have been made aware that the following local authorities in the LCR still have funds available to support businesses affected by the pandemic.
Relief can be applied for by businesses who were not eligible for the previous Covid-19 business rates relief covering retail, leisure and hospitality sectors. The Additional Relief Fund is for ratepayers who have been negatively affected by the pandemic and have been unable to adapt. The relief will apply to the 2021/22 financial year, so businesses must have been liable for rates and occupying premises in that year.
This is likely to be of interest to businesses in maritime; those with office premises above £15,000 Rateable Value; warehouses; distribution & logistics; manufacturing; private training providers and other uses that were not eligible for the previously mentioned reliefs.
Applications must be made to the relevant local authority – see details below with links and deadlines. NB: Sefton Council’s scheme has closed, hence not being included below.
