Mersey Maritime commissioned the Centre for Economics and Business Research (Cebr) to undertake a comprehensive economic impact analysis to highlight the impact the industry makes on the Liverpool City Region economy. The full State of the Maritime Region Report document gives details of the key findings for the period 2017 to 2019.
A GROWING SECTOR
The ‘State of the Maritime Region Report’ covers the whole industry across a range of economic metrics, including: turnover, GVA, employment, the compensation of employees, Exchequer contribution and exports. The analysis is presented both in a ‘direct’ and ‘aggregate’ form and contains a forward look forecast too. The document, available to download on the right, summarises the key findings for the period from 2010 but specifically from 2017 to 2019.
