EU Transition - are you ready?

When the Brexit transition period ends on 31 December 2020, the UK will leave the EU’s Single Market and Customs Union. It will then begin a new economic relationship with the EU – with a trade deal or on ‘no deal’ terms. Mersey Maritime is urging maritime companies that trade products and services with the EU to review their preparedness for the end of the UK’s transition period with the EU. Regardless of whether or not a deal is agreed between the UK and EU, there are new rules for businesses and citizens from 1 January 2021.
